Extraordinary appeal
The annulment of a final decision and the restoration of a lapsed deadline are exceptional procedures, which require that the rather strict criteria laid down in the Administrative Judicial Procedure Act be met.
The Supreme Administrative Court may annul a final administrative decision or the final decision of an administrative court, or restore a lapsed deadline on the grounds specified in the Administrative Judicial Procedure Act.
A court fee is charged for the processing of an extraordinary appeal. Before the Supreme Administrative Court, the court fee is EUR 610. (link to either the decree or the Finnish courts’ website, which provides further details on court fees)
